Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Mountainside Medical Center in Montclair, NJ is seeking a night shift, full-time Emergency Room Registered Nurse. The RN will perform initial patient assessments, administer medications, monitor vital signs, and collaborate with physicians to develop and evaluate plans of care.

Requirements include graduation from an accredited nursing program, New Jersey RN license, ACLS, BLS (within 14 days), and PALS certification, with preferred BSN and ER experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• 1+ years’ experience as a staff RN in an acute care hospital setting.
• Valid New Jersey RN license.
• ACLS Certification.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
• PALS Certification.
• Preferred: BSN and ER experience.

Responsibilities

• The RN performs initial patient assessments and collaborates with physicians to devise, implement, and evaluate plans of care.
• Administer medications, IVs, monitor vital signs, and provide patient education on diagnoses and treatment options.

Responsibilities

The RN (Registered Nurse) is responsible for performing initial patient assessments and partnering with physicians to devise, implement, and evaluate plan of care, while administering medications, IV, monitor vital signs, and provide patients with support and education on diagnosis treatment options and disease process

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• 1+ years’ experience as a staff RN in an acute care hospital setting.
• Valid New Jersey RN license.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Certification.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Certification.

Preferred Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing.
• Emergency Room setting experience.

Rate of pay is determined based on experience and education and may include other pay components such as differentials and call pay based on role.
