Job summary

Ardent Health Services seeks a Night Shift ER Registered Nurse in Amarillo, TX to deliver high-quality patient care in a fast-paced emergency department. You will respond to emergent health needs, collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, and support patient education and discharge planning.

The ideal candidate is a graduate of an accredited nursing program, holds an active RN license, and has BLS; ACLS/PALS, NIHSS, and TNCC are preferred to ensure safe, effective care for diverse patients.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in good standing.
• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire.
• ACLS and PALS certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality emergent and non-emergent nursing care in the Emergency Room.
• Assess patient health data, implement care plans, and coordinate with interdisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

The Emergency Room Nurse will be accountable for the health status and for health needs of patients based upon interpretation of health data and preventative health practices in collaboration with patients and interdisciplinary healthcare team members

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

• High School (or GED equivalent) diploma.
• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
• Current RN License
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
• American Heart Association or American Red Cross Advanced Life Support Certification (ACLS)
• American Heart Association or American Red Cross Pediatric Advanced Life Support Certification (PALS)
• National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
• Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) within 6 months

Preferred Job Requirements:

• Previous acute care experience
