Job summary

BSA Hospital in Amarillo, TX is seeking a night shift, full-time Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurse to provide compassionate, high‑quality care for critically ill patients. You will monitor patients, administer medications, interpret data, and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to support recovery.

Requirements include an active RN license, graduation from an accredited School of Nursing, BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, TNCC, and previous acute care experience.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Graduate of accredited School of Nursing.
• Current RN License.
• BLS certification required within 14 days of hire.
• ACLS certification required.
• NIHSS proficiency required.
• TNCC certification for Surgical ICU staff.

Responsibilities

• Provide care for ICU patients in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.
• Monitor patient health status, interpret health data, and administer medications.
• Respond to changes in patient condition and escalate appropriately.

Responsibilities

The Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurse is responsible for the health status and for health needs of patients based upon interpretation of health data and preventative health practices in collaboration with patients and interdisciplinary healthcare team members.

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

• High School (or GED equivalent) diploma.
• Graduate of accredited School of Nursing.
• Current RN License.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
• American Heart Association or American Red Cross Advanced Life Support Certification (ACLS).
• National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS).
• Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) – specifically for core staff in Surgical ICU.
