Job summary

BSA Hospital in Amarillo, TX is seeking an experienced Emergency Room Registered Nurse for an evening shift, PRN position. The ER RN will oversee patient health status, interpret health data, and coordinate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality care.

Requirements include nursing graduation from an accredited program, current RN license, BLS/ACLS/PALS certifications, NIHSS, and TNCC within 6 months. Prior acute care experience is preferred.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

The Emergency Room Nurse will be accountable for the health status and for health needs of patients based upon interpretation of health data and preventative health practices in collaboration with patients and interdisciplinary healthcare team members.

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

• High School (or GED equivalent) diploma.
• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
• Current RN License
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
• American Heart Association or American Red Cross Advanced Life Support Certification (ACLS)
• American Heart Association or American Red Cross Pediatric Advanced Life Support Certification (PALS)
• National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
• Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) within 6 months
