Job summary

Norman Regional in Norman, OK is seeking a registered nurse to join our Electrophysiology Lab/Cath Lab team. The role includes patient assessment, care coordination, and evidence-based nursing interventions across the Cath Lab spectrum.

Responsibilities cover planning, implementing, and evaluating care, including discharge planning, with a focus on electrophysiology patients. This is a regular full-time day shift with a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• New grads must complete Norman Regional's Nurse Residency Program.
• Oklahoma Registered Nurse license is required.
• BLS training or retraining is required during orientation; ALS preferred within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assessment/reassessment of health care needs across age groups.
• Nursing diagnosis and outcomes planning with patient/family involvement.
• Implementation and coordination of care using evidence-based practice.
• Evaluation of patient outcomes using critical thinking and evidence-based knowledge.
• Evaluates discharge needs related to plan of care.

Compensation/Benefits

• $32.56 - $53.18/hr. depending on previous work experience
• Evening differential $2.50/hr.
• Night differential $3.00/hr.
• Weekend differential $3.00/hr.

We have an innovative cardiovascular program and we are looking for caring knowledgeable Registered Nurses to add to our team. We have 16 Cath Lab Same Day Surgery rooms and five Cardiac Cath Lab procedure rooms and two treatment rooms. We work with 10 Cardiologist and seven of which are interventionist and one electrophysiologist.

Job Summary

• Assessment/reassessment - Systematically assesses / reassesses the health care needs of individuals; appropriate for specific age groups and patient conditions. Involves patient, family and other healthcare providers as appropriate.
• Nursing Diagnosis and Outcomes - Analyzes assessment to determine nursing diagnosis and expected outcomes, involving patient, family and other healthcare providers as appropriate.
• Implementation and Coordination of Care - Provides nursing care through interventions to achieve goals and needs using professional judgement guided by current evidence-based practice, regulations and policy.
• Evaluation - Evaluates patient outcomes by utilizing the critical thinking process and evidence based knowledge to recognize problems, evaluate facts and reach sound conclusions.
• Evaluates discharge needs related to plan of care utilizing resources as needed.
• Professional Practice
• Care of the Electrophysiology Lab Patient.

Qualifications

• New grads are required to complete Norman Regional's Nurse Residency Program.

Education

• Diploma or Associate’s degree (ADN) required, Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN), or Masters of Science in Nursing (MSN) preferred.

Experience

• Electrophysiology experience preferred

Licensure/Certification/Registration/ETC.

• Current Oklahoma Registered Nurse license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) training or retraining is required during orientation prior to providing patient care.
• Advanced Life Support (ALS) training is preferred upon hire / required within 6 months of hire.
• Current BLS and ALS is required to be maintained thru re-training for duration of employment.
