Our Cardiac Cath Lab is looking for aRegistered Nurse RN to help care for patients.Our Cath Labis a busy lab, with both vascular and EP procedures. We have 2 interventional cardiologists and 2 diagnostic cardiologists in our beautiful, newly remodeled lab.
A clinically advanced, registered, professional nurse who primarily delivers care before, during, and after the cardiac catheterization or electrophysiology procedure through the nursing process Under the supervision of a licensed cardiologist, RN provides support and assistance to the physician diagnosing and treating cardiac and peripheral disease and cardiac arrythmias in the Cath Lab. Includes but is not limited to diagnostic and interventional angiography procedures, pacemaker/ICD implantation, electrophysiology procedures, and other interventional cardiac/vascular procedures. Provides patient care, operates equipment, and performs, head of bed, circulator and hemodynamic monitoring duties during procedures using clinical knowledge, technical skills, and professional judgement in accordance with professional and departmental standards and protocols. Must have a strong work ethic and ability to multitask in a high-stress environment.
Licensed to practice in the state of Oklahoma.
Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
BLS Certification required within 30 days of hire.
ACLS and Moderate sedation certification required within 3 months of hire.
BSN preferred or certification in area of specialization preferred.
Cath Lab and/or Critical Care experience preferred.
Must have strength and stamina for prolonged walking, standing, and dealing with stressful situations.
Demonstrates adequate vision, or correctable with glasses/contacts, to read and write.
Able to hear, or correctable with hearing devices, and able to talk to converse with others in person and over the phone.
Able to hear, see, and feel to accurately assess, monitor, and administer care.
Able to frequently lift at least 50 lbs., reach, pull, push, bend, stoop, and kneel.
Possess fine motor skills and hand/eye coordination to give care (i.e.: insert catheters, start IV's, administer medications, and handle instruments).
