Job summary

Essentia Health St. Mary’s- Detroit Lakes is seeking a registered nurse to organize and provide nursing care through assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation. You will delegate aspects of care to licensed personnel and contribute to a healthy workplace and patient outcomes.

The role supports adherence to Joint Commission standards and state regulatory requirements, with a focus on compassionate, evidence-based practice within a community hospital setting in Minnesota.

Qualifications

• BSN or ADN degree from an accredited school or college of nursing.
• Current nursing licensure in state(s) of employment.
• BCLS certification within one month.
• ACLS certification within one year.

Responsibilities

• Organize and provide nursing care to patients through assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation.
• Delegate aspects of care to other nursing personnel based upon licensure and job descriptions.
• Contribute to meeting the mission and goals of Essentia Health and the facility.
• Meet Joint Commission requirements and other federal/state/local regulatory or accrediting standards where applicable.

Responsible for organizing and providing nursing care to patients through the process of assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation. Delegates aspects of care to other nursing personnel based upon their licensure, preparation and job descriptions. Contributes to the meeting of the mission and goals of the facility and Essentia, and meets the requirements of the Joint Commission if applicable and/or other federal, state and local regulatory or accrediting agencies.

Education Qualifications:

• BSN or ADN degree from an accredited school or college of nursing

Licensure/Certification Qualifications:

• Current nursing licensure in state(s) of employment

• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification within one month

• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification within one year
