Job summary

Inova Mount Vernon is seeking a PRN (as needed) Endoscopy Nurse to support our GI/endoscopy units and ECT recovery services. You will rotate through pre-, intra-, and post-procedure areas and participate in a flexible call schedule.

The role requires at least one shift per week and two weekend and two weekday calls in a six-week cycle, with a strong emphasis on patient safety and teamwork within a fast-paced perioperative setting.

Qualifications

• One year of direct Operating Room (OR) experience as a Registered Nurse or completion of an OR fellowship.
• If PACU Nurse, one year of critical care or PACU RN experience is required.
• BSN from an accredited school of nursing. If RN has an ADN; must complete BSN within 5 years of start date.
• RN license to practice in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).
• ACLS and PALS through AHA required before completion of orientation.

Responsibilities

• As PRN nurse, rotate through GI Endoscopy, ECT areas and support pre-, intra-, and post-procedure care.

PRN (as needed) Nurse for the GE Lab

Inova Mount Vernon is looking for PRN (as needed) Nurse for the GE Lab. We are looking for someone that is available at least once a week. You are required to take two weekend and two weekday call shifts in a six-week schedule.

Our GI team works across two endoscopy units and cares for our ECT (electroconvulsive therapy) patients three days a week (T, Th, F), taking them through pre-procedure, intra-procedure, and post-procedure recovery. As a PRN nurse, you will rotate through all these areas.

RN Endoscopy Qualifications

RN Endoscopy Preferred Qualifications

• At least 2 years of recent Endoscopy Nurse experience to include Pre, Post and Intra Procedure experience.
