Abrazo Central Hospital is seeking a dedicated Endoscopy Registered Nurse to join the Endoscopy team. This role provides professional nursing care to patients undergoing GI procedures at our Phoenix facility, coordinating interdisciplinary care and ensuring high-quality bedside perioperative care.

Responsibilities include direct patient care, collaboration with physicians, and supervision of staff as needed. Endoscopy procedures include colonoscopy, EGD, ERCP, sigmoidoscopy, and EUS.

Qualifications

• RN license active in the State of Arizona.
• Minimum 2 years Endoscopy RN experience.
• Minimum education: Nursing degree from an accredited program; BSN preferred.
• Licensure/ Certifications: BLS; ACLS required upon orientation.

• Deliver direct patient care in accordance with policies and procedures.
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal outcomes.
• Use the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation) to manage patient care.
• Supervise and delegate to team members using independent judgment.
• Evaluate nursing practice quality and contribute to process improvements.
• Support patient safety and infection control practices.
• Participate in hourly rounding; may serve as charge nurse when needed.
• Provide endoscopy care for procedures including colonoscopy, EGD, ERCP, flexible sigmoidoscopy, and EUS.

Job Summary

Abrazo Central Campus is currently seeking a dedicated and skilled Endoscopy Registered Nurse to join our Endoscopy team. This position provides professional and individualized nursing care to patients undergoing a variety of GI procedures at our centrally located facility at 19th Avenue and Bethany Home Road in Phoenix. The RN will coordinate interdisciplinary care planning and ensure high-quality bedside care throughout the perioperative process.

• Deliver direct patient care in accordance with established policies and procedures.
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Utilize the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation) to manage patient care effectively.
• Supervise and delegate to other healthcare team members, using independent judgment.
• Systematically evaluate nursing practice quality and contribute to process improvements.
• Support patient safety and infection control practices.
• Participate in hourly rounding and may be designated as charge nurse when needed.
• Provide care for endoscopy procedures including:
  • Colonoscopy
  • Esophagogastroduodenoscopy (EGD)
  • Endoscopic Retrograde Cholangiopancreatography (ERCP)
  • Flexible Sigmoidoscopy
  • Endoscopic Ultrasound (EUS)

Special Skills Required

• Outstanding customer service and basic computer proficiency.
• Strong preference for candidates with prior Endoscopy experience

Qualifications - Education, Licensure, and Experience

• Minimum Education: Nursing Degree from an accredited nursing program
• Preferred Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
• Minimum Experience: At least 2 years of Endoscopy RN experience
• Licensure/Certifications:
  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Arizona
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) - Required upon completion of orientation
