Fairview Health Services is seeking an Endoscopy RN to manage pre-procedure assessment, IV starts, and education, followed by procedural monitoring and post-procedural care. The role involves sedation management, specimen handling, and team leadership within the Endoscopy/GI department and related units.
The position is casual, with 8 hours in a two-week period, and requires adherence to hospital policies and the MN Nurse Practice Act.
The Endoscopy RN manages the care of the adult or older patient beginning with the pre-procedure assessment, IV start, and education followed by procedural conscious sedation and monitoring, specimen collection and hands on assistance during the procedure.The RN performs the assessment, planning, delivery, and evaluation of nursing care for all assigned patient population(s). The RN performs these responsibilities in accordance with all policy, procedures, professional practice guidelines and the MN Nurse Practice Act. The RN coordinates care with members of the health care team and delegates responsibilities to others as appropriate.
This is a casual position, working 8 hours in a two week period.
Provides nursing care to adult or pediatric endoscopy patients in the Endoscopy/GI department, In-patient Units, Operating Room, Emergency Department and ICU. May also includes adult or pediatric minor surgeries.
