Job summary

Lifepoint Health’s Wilson Medical Center is seeking a Lead Registered Nurse (RN) for the Emergency Department in Wilson, North Carolina. This full-time night position includes a $20,000 commitment bonus and requires an active RN license with ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications, plus ED experience.

Join a busy ED with a 1:4/5 nurse-to-patient ratio and a strong safety culture. At Wilson Medical Center you’ll work with a multidisciplinary team in a certified Chest Pain and Primary Stroke Center,

Qualifications

• Current state RN license required.
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certification required.
• One year of RN ED experience preferred or required.
• TNCC/NRP/ENPC/CEN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a high-volume Emergency Department.
• Implement plan-of-care interventions and patient-care innovations.
• Collaborate with ED team to deliver high-quality, efficient care.

Department/Unit Summary

Join our busy 20-bed ED with an additional 6 patient processing bays and a 6-bed Crisis Stabilization Unit for Behavioral Health patients. With a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4/5, our diverse staff includes RNs, LPNs, CNAs, Paramedics, Unit Secretaries and Providers whose goal is to create a collaborative environment to deliver exceptional care. We take pride in our facility being a Certified Chest Pain and Primary Stroke Center. With an average daily census of 106 patients, this role offers the opportunity to contribute to high-quality emergency medical care in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications and requirements

Applicants should have a current state RN license and possess a nursing degree from an accredited program. Additional requirements include:

• BLS, ACLS and PALS required
• TNCC, NRP, ENPC, CEN preferred
• One year of RN ED experience required.
