Job summary

Centerpoint - Winchester is seeking an Emergency Services Registered Nurse (RN) to join a fast-paced 22-bed ED that sees thousands of patients yearly. The role includes medication administration, patient assessment, and coordination with the care team, with a 3x12 night schedule (7p-7a).

Applicants should hold a current RN license and a Bachelor's in Nursing, with BLS; ACLS/PALS preferred. Comprehensive benefits and career growth are offered.

Qualifications

• Current state RN license
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited nursing school
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• One year of Emergency Room RN experience preferred
• ACLS, PALS, Handle with Care preferred

Responsibilities

• Performs plan of care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, and other medical care activities.
• Documents patient care provided.
• Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition to the care team, physician, patient, and family.
• Assists patients with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
• Collaborates across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including transfers, discharges, referrals, and psychosocial/spiritual support needs.
• Evaluates patient and family learning needs and provides appropriate education based on age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
• Advocates for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.
• Participates in performance improvement and continuing education.
• Provides quality patient care and works flexible shifts or units as needed.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Our ED has seen steady growth since opening the new building in 2012, seeing almost 35,000 patients each year in the 22 bed ED alone, that’s 95 patients per day.

What we’re looking for

Applicants should have a current state RN license and possess a bachelor's degree from an accredited nursing school. Additional requirements include:
