Ashley Regional Medical Center in Vernal, Utah is seeking a dedicated nursing professional to provide total nursing care for patients. The role involves assessing patient needs, developing and implementing care plans, and ensuring effective communication with patients and families.
The ideal candidate will hold an Associate's Degree in Nursing, possess a current RN license, and have strong critical thinking and communication skills. This position requires maintaining optimal patient care and may involve a minimum of 10% overnight travel.
Coordinates total nursing care for patients, participates in patient and family teaching, acts as a patient advocate and works as part of a team with ancillary and non‑nursing departments.
Education: Associate's Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred.
Experience: 1 year or less.
Certifications: BCLS upon completion of hospital orientation; ACLS and PALS within six months of hire or transfer date to position.
Licenses: Current RN license in state of practice.
The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds, stand, walk, sit for extended periods, use hands to handle, reach, climb stairs, bend, crawl, talk or hear, taste or smell. Repetitive motion of upper body is required for extended use of computer. Required specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Works in a well‑lit, ventilated, climate‑controlled office environment with routine office equipment; some equipment has moving mechanical parts. In a hospital environment, may be exposed to hazards including bloodborne pathogens, contagious illnesses, toxic chemicals, and biohazardous materials. Noise level typical for an office and/or hospital. A minimum of 10% overnight travel by land and/or air.
