Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a 12-bed ER unit for critically ill adult patients
• Utilize critical thinking and decisive judgment under minimal supervision
• Perform interventions including medication administration, specimen collection, and clinical treatments
• Document patient care accurately
• Monitor and communicate patient status to the care team, physicians, patients, and families
• Assist with activities of daily living and patient education
• Coordinate care across disciplines and support patient transfer, discharge, and psychosocial needs
• Advocate for patient well-being both physically and emotionally

Minimum Qualifications

• Associate's degree required; Bachelor's preferred
• Certifications: ACLS, BCLS, PALS; NIHSS within 90 days of hire
• Licensed as a Registered Nurse in Kentucky
