RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for Emergency Screening at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center in Newark, NJ. The role emphasizes comprehensive assessments, safe medications, and collaborative care within a busy emergency environment.

The RN must hold an active NJ license, have BLS, and prefer a BSN. Per-diem night schedule runs 7:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m. with three shifts per month, fostering strong patient relationships and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Active New Jersey RN license in good standing or Multistate with NJ Endorsement.
• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing preferred.
• Experience in emergency screening or acute care is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and recognize clinical changes.
• Provide safe, evidence-based medications and hands-on nursing care.
• Collaborate with physicians and providers to support timely care decisions.

To be considered for this RN opportunity, you must hold an active New Jersey Registered Nurse license in good standing or Multistate RN License with NJ Endorsement and a current American Heart Association BLS certification. A Bachelor’s degree in Nursing is strongly preferred, as is prior patient care experience and comfort with electronic medical record systems (EMR) like EPIC.Experienced required withBehavioral Health Adult population with a minimum of (2) years’ experience. This position offers a per-diem night schedule from 7:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m. and (3) three shifts per month (1) weekend shift, (2) shifts Mon-Fri, (1) Winter Holiday and (1) Summer holidayare required. The schedule during the week will vary depending on department needs, allowing you to build strong patient relationships while maintaining balance.
