Job summary

PIH Health seeks a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Emergency Department, full-time nights. You will independently apply the nursing process to safely care for a patient group, coordinating with physicians, staff and families, and ensuring adherence to the California Nurse Practice Act.

Required certifications include BLS, ACLS, NIHSS within 6 months, PALS within 6 months, LA City Fire Card within 6 months, VIP within 3 months; Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course is preferred.

Qualifications

• BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, PALS, LA City Fire Card, VIP requirements within stated timelines.
• Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENPC) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care using the nursing process to a group of patients in the Emergency department, coordinating with physicians, staff and families.
• Ensure compliance with the California Nurse Practice Act and applicable regulations.

Responsible for independently utilizing the nursing process to safely, therapeutically and efficiently care for a group of patients based on policies and procedures.Delivers individualized quality patient care through a coordinated team approach with physicians, staff, other departments and the patient’s family. Complies with the California Nurse Practice Act, Article 2, Section 2725 of the Business and Professions Code.
