Job summary

PIH Health is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Emergency Department (ED) night shift. The RN will independently apply the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care to a group of patients within a policy-driven framework.

Care is delivered through a coordinated team with physicians, staff, and families, complying with the California Nurse Practice Act. The role supports quality patient care through evidence-based practices and a commitment to PIH Health’s standards.

Qualifications

• Must hold BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association.
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification within 6 months of employment.
• LA City Fire Card within 6 months of employment.
• CPI/VIP within 3 months of employment.
• Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENPC) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Utilize the nursing process to safely, therapeutically and efficiently care for a group of patients per policies.
• Deliver individualized quality patient care through a coordinated team approach with physicians, staff, other departments and the patient’s family.
