Miami Valley Hospital's Emergency and Trauma Center in Dayton, OH seeks a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Emergency Department (Level I Trauma Center). This full-time role covers 5pm–5:30am in a high-volume, 848-bed tertiary care facility.

The CN coordinates care with the interdisciplinary team, complies with the Ohio Nurse Practice Act, and provides physical, emotional and spiritual support to patients and families. Miami Valley is the region's busiest adult ER and a primary stroke center.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing; BSN preferred.
• Valid Ohio RN license.
• 1 year of current acute care hospital-based RN experience is required.

Responsabilités

• Provide direct patient care with a caseload as defined by the area of practice.
• Coordinate/direct care delivered by the interdisciplinary team.
• Ensure compliance with the Ohio Nurse Practice Act and institutional policies.

The clinical nurse (CN) functions in a multi-faceted role that demonstrates professionalism and promotes excellence in the practice of Nursing. The CN is responsible for maintaining high standards for a caseload of patients as described by the scope of care for the area of practice and demonstrates appropriate actions based on sound scientific research and evidence-based principles. The CN also coordinates/directs care delivered by the interdisciplinary team. The CN is accountable for compliance with the Ohio Nurse Practice Act, applicable regulatory standards, and institutional policies and procedures. The CN provides physical, emotional and spiritual support that directly/indirectly impacts the patient outcomes and care provided to patients/ families/ significant others.

Education: Graduation from an accredited school of nursing; BSN preferred.

Licensure/Certification/Registration: Valid Ohio RN license

Experience: 1 year of current acute care hospital-based RN experience is required.
