Job summary

Texas Health Resources in Plano, TX is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Emergency Department PRN Night shift (7P-7A) at 6200 W Parker Rd. This Level II Trauma center with 52 beds offers self-scheduling, strong educational and career growth, and a supportive leadership team.

Requirements include Nursing Diploma or ADN (BSN preferred), Texas RN licensure, BCLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI within required timelines, and 1 year ER experience or completion of an RN residency.

Qualifications

• Nursing Diploma or ADN is required; BSN preferred.
• CLIAFE compliance for foreign education equivalency might be required.
• One year ER experience or completion of an RN residency program.
• Current RN licensure or compact licensure recognized by the Texas Board of Nursing.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care in the Emergency Department.
• Demonstrate active listening and non-judgmental interactions with patients.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to coordinate quality patient care.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

WORK SCHEDULE:

PRN Nights (7P-7A); as needed. PRN III requires 6 shifts every 6 weeks with weekend and holiday requirements

HERE’S WHAT YOU WILL NEED:

• Diploma of Nursing OR Associate degree in Nursing (ADN) required;
• BSN preferred.
• Other - CLIAFE Must comply with CLIA regulations regarding foreign education equivalency Required
• One-year experience as a clinical nurse, or completion of an RN residency program.
• One year of Emergency experience in an acute care setting strongly preferred
• Current RN licensure or compact licensure recognized by the Texas Board of Nursing upon hire.
• RN must practice within the regulations of the Texas Nurse Practice Act, serve as a role model, intra/interdisciplinary collaborator and coordinator for quality patient care
• Current RN licensure or compact licensure recognized by the Texas Board of Nursing upon hire
• BCLS -Basic Cardiac Life Support -Prior to providing independent patient care & maintained quarterly—required
• ACLS-Advance Cardiac Life Support- within 90 days required
• PALS-Pediatric Advance Life Support- within in 90 days required
• TNCC-Trauma Nursing Core Course –within 12 months required
• CPI - Crisis Prevention Intervention Training within 60 Days Required
