Job summary

CONSUMER DIRECTED SERVICES INC. is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Emergency Department with Level I trauma designation.

You will provide direct patient care, coordinate interdisciplinary plans, document accurately, and respond to emergencies while maintaining safety standards. Requirements include an Associate Degree in Nursing (BS preferred), NY RN license, at least 1 year of acute care experience (ED/Med-Surg preferred), and current BLS/ACLS/PALS with infection control training.

Qualifications

Job description

Role:

Registered Nurse (RN) in the Emergency Department with Level I trauma designation.

Responsibilities:

Provide direct patient care, coordinate interdisciplinary plans, ensure documentation and communication, assess patient health, develop care plans, administer medications, respond to emergencies, and maintain safety standards.

Key Duties:

Demonstrate leadership, mentor staff, participate in performance improvement activities, and uphold professional practice standards. Engage in patient/family education, advocate for patient rights, and collaborate effectively with healthcare team members.

Qualifications & Skills:

Associate Degree in Nursing (BS preferred), valid NY RN license, minimum one year acute care experience (preferably in ED/Medical-Surgical), current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and infection control training. Proficiency in data entry, effective communication skills, and ability to work independently and as part of a team. Demonstrate critical thinking, cultural sensitivity, professionalism, and commitment to ongoing education.

Additional Requirements:

OHS Fit Test and Annual Assessment, mandatory certifications upon hire, and participation in unit-based quality initiatives. The role involves night shifts, alternate weekends, and scheduled hours of 11.5 per shift.
