Job summary

Texas Health Willow Park in Willow Park, TX is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Emergency Department. This full-time role covers 7:00 pm – 7:00 am, 36 hours per week, with three 12-hour shifts and self-scheduling support for work/life balance.

Requires a Nursing Diploma or Associate Degree in Nursing (BSN preferred), active RN licensure, and ACLS/PALS/NIHSS and other certifications within specified timeframes. ED/ICU/PCU experience is strongly preferred.

Qualifications

• Nursing Diploma or Associate Degree in Nursing; BSN preferred.
• Current RN licensure or compact licensure recognized by the Texas Board of Nursing.
• CLIAFE compliance with CLIA regulations regarding foreign education equivalency.
• BCLS – within 90 days of hire; ACLS, PALS within 90 days; NIHSS within 90 days; TNCC/ATCN within 12 months; ENPC within 12 months; CPI within 90 days.
• 1-year RN experience or completion of an RN residency program; ED/ICU/PCU experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process.
• Assesses the patient.
• Plans the care of the patient.
• Intervenes as appropriate.
• Evaluates the effectiveness of interventions.
• Incorporates age-specific safety/infection control measures into patient care.
• Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant others’ need for information.
• Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and during transfers.

Here’s What You Need

• Nursing Diploma or Associate Degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred
• Current RN licensure or compact licensure recognized by the Texas Board of Nursing upon hire
• CLIAFE Must comply with CLIA regulations regarding foreign education equivalency
• BCLS – prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required
• ACLS – within 90 days of hire required
• PALS – within 90 days of hire required
• NIHSS – within 90 days of hire
• TNCC or ATCN – within 12 months of hire required
• ENPC – within 12 months of hire required
• CPI – Crisis Prevention Intervention Training – within 90 days of hire
• 1-year registered nursing experience or completion of an RN residency program required
