Job summary

Texas Health Resources is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Emergency Department at Texas Health Dallas. This full-time, evenings shift offers self-scheduling and growth opportunities in a fast-paced, high-volume unit averaging 200 patients daily.

Requirements include a Nursing Diploma/Associate's/Bachelor's in Nursing, RN license at hire, and BCLS/ACLS/PALS with CPI and TNCC/ATCN timing as specified. Competitive benefits and professional development await.

Qualifications

• RN license required at hire.
• 1 year of registered nurse experience or completion of an RN residency.
• Emergency department acute care experience strongly preferred.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) within required timeframes.
• TNCC or ATCN within designated timeframe; CPI training annually.

• Address basic human needs with attention to safety, physical, psychological and social aspects.
• Honor patient worth and rights, calling patients by name.
• Engage with families and care teams in health decisions and care planning.
• Collaborate with physicians, peers, and caregivers to solve problems and plan care.

Here's What You Need:

• Nursing Diploma in Nursing required or
• Associate's degree in nursing required or
• Bachelor's degree in nursing preferred
• 1 year of experience as a registered nurse or completion of an RN residency program required.
• 1 year of emergency department acute care experience strongly preferred
• RN - Registered upon hire required and
• BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required and
• ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support within 90 days of hire required and
• PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support within 90 days of hire required and
• CPI - Crisis Prevention Intervention training annually within 90 days required and
• TNCC - Trauma Nursing Core Course within 6 months required or
• ATCN - Advanced Trauma Care Nurse within 6 months required
