Job summary

Advocate Health's Atrium Health Anson Emergency Department in North Carolina seeks a Registered Nurse (RN) to provide and coordinate comprehensive patient care in a 24/7 rural ED.

This role requires an accredited nursing program completion, NC RN license, BLS, ACLS within 6 months, and 6+ months RN experience; inpatient experience is preferred. You will work in a team-focused environment dedicated to compassionate patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited or approved nursing program.
• Candidates must have at least 6 months of RN experience; not for new grads.
• RN license issued by the state of practice.
• BLS for Healthcare Providers (American Heart Association).
• ACLS required within 6 months of hire.
• 1 year of inpatient RN experience preferred.

Registered Nurse (RN) – Emergency Department

Where You Will Work:

Atrium Health Anson Emergency Department is a 24/7 emergency care facility located within a 15-bed community hospital serving a rural patient population. The department is part of a centrally located campus that integrates emergency services, inpatient care, and primary care, allowing for coordinated, personalized treatment across the continuum of care.

As a rural emergency department, Anson ED offers a close-knit, team-oriented environment where staff build meaningful relationships with patients and families in the community. Care delivery emphasizes compassionate, patient-centered care with a strong focus on treating patients like family.

We’re Looking For:

• Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
• Candidates must have at least 6 months of RN experience, this position is not for new graduates
• Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association
• ACLS required within 6 months of hire
• 1 year of inpatient RN experience preferred

What You’ll Do:

• As a skilled and compassionate RN, you will play a pivotal role in providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures.
• Using evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and skills communication while leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum.
