Job summary

Frye Regional Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Emergency Department. The unit features 12-hour shifts, self-scheduling, and a 32-bed environment, with an emphasis on teamwork and diversified clinical experience.

Applicants must hold an active North Carolina RN license; ACLS/PALS within set timelines and BLS within 30 days. Requires 2+ years in ED and offers a strong benefits package and ongoing professional growth.

Qualifications

• Active North Carolina RN license (single-state) or compact required. If relocating, licensure must be updated to the new PSOR before employment begins.
• Basic Life Support certification is required within 30 days of hire.
• ACLS and PALS are required within six months of hire.
• Two or more years of RN Emergency Department experience required.

Responsibilities

• Accurately performs patient assessments and identifies patient needs
• Identifies and initiates appropriate nursing interventions
• Provides care appropriate to condition and age of the patient
• Performs timely and appropriate documentation relating to medical necessity in the medical record
• Responsible for completion and revision of the Interdisciplinary Care Plan for each patient
• Performs timely and accurate QI assessments

How you'll contribute
