Job summary

Inova Loudoun Hospital in Leesburg, VA is seeking an experienced ED Nurse to join our team. The role offers full-time mid-shift hours (11am–11pm), with 3-12 hour shifts, weekend and call rotations, and eligible sign-on and relocation bonuses.

As part of a nationally recognized health system, you will provide patient-centered emergency care, collaborate with the care team, and participate in evidence-based pathways to ensure safety and quality for adults and families in our Level II trauma center.

Qualifications

• Requires a minimum of one year of RN experience in acute care.
• BSN from an accredited school of nursing; ADN must complete BSN within 5 years.
• RN licensed or eligible to practice in Virginia as an RN.
• BLS from AHA for Healthcare Provider certification required
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and caring demeanor.
• Proficient computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide knowledgeable and caring clinical practice and care coordination through an understanding of patient, family, nurse, and healthcare delivery team.
• Conduct all patient care in a patient and family-centered manner.
• Use an integrated approach toward patient outcomes

This position is full time mid shift (11am-11pm), 3-12 hour shifts and has weekend and call rotation.

The Inova Virts Miller Family Emergency and Trauma Center is a full-service emergency department for adults at Inova Loudoun Hospital. It is a Joint Commission-certified Advanced Primary Stroke Center and an integral part of the trauma program at Inova Loudoun Hospital – Loudoun County’s only designated trauma center.

Emergency Room Nurse Responsibilities

• Provide knowledgeable and caring clinical practice and care coordination through an understanding of patient, family, nurse, and healthcare delivery team.

• Utilize standards, guidelines, and pathways for care delivery.

Minimum Qualifications

• Experience: Requires a minimum of one year of Registered Nurse clinical experience in the acute care setting.
• Education: BSN from an accredited school of nursing. If RN has an Associates Degree (ADN); must complete BSN within 5 years of start date.
• License: Must be RN licensed, or eligible to practice in the Commonwealth of Virginia as an RN.
• Certification: BLS from AHA for Healthcare Provider certification required
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to display a caring demeanor toward others. Proficient computer skills required

Preferred Qualifications

• Prefer (2) plus years ED RN experience.
