RWJBarnabas Health in New Brunswick, NJ seeks a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Emergency Department on a night shift. This part-time role offers 24 hours per week, with weekend and holiday rotations, and a competitive hourly pay range.

The RN will conduct comprehensive patient assessments, administer medications, collaborate with physicians, document in EPIC, and participate in rounds. NJ RN license, BLS, and ER/acute care experience required; BSN preferred.

As a Registered Nurse (RN), a typical day may include:

• Conducting comprehensive patient assessments and recognize subtle clinical changes, using your judgment to intervene early and advocate for your patients
• Providing safe, evidence-based medications, treatments, and hands on care grounded in strong clinical judgment
• Serving as a clinical partner to physicians and advanced providers, offering insight that supports timely, well-coordinated care decisions

To be considered for this RN opportunity, you must hold an active New Jersey Registered Nurse license in good standing and a current American Heart Association BLS Certification with at least 1 year of Emergency Room or acute care RN experience required. Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing is strongly preferred or must be completed within 5 years upon hire. PALS, TNCC and ACLS Certification is preferred or must be obtained within 6 months of employment. Prior 2-3 years of RN experience within Emergency Room or acute care is highly preferred and comfort with electronic medical record systems (EMR) like EPIC. This position offers a Part-Time Night Shift schedule from 7:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m. Monday – Friday with weekend and holiday rotations, 24 hours per week, allowing you to build strong patient relationships while maintaining balance.
