Sentara Health in Hampton, VA seeks an experienced Registered Nurse for the Electrophysiology Lab (EP) at Sentara Careplex Hospital. This is a full-time, day-shift position in Hampton, Virginia.

RN provides nursing care per the nursing process, requires ASN or RN Diploma and RN licensure with BLS within 90 days and ACLS within 1 year. One year RN experience required; EP/Cath Lab experience preferred; comprehensive benefits offered.

Hours

• Monday – Friday: 4/ten-hour shifts from 7am-5:30pm
• Day off will vary per week - No Call

Overview

The Registered Nursing (RN) is responsible to perform a competent level of nursing care as demonstrated by the critical thinking model known as the nursing process. The standards of practice (assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, coordination of care- teaching and health promotion and evaluation) along with the standards of professional performance (ethics, culturally congruent practice, communication, collaboration, leadership, education, evidence- based practice /nursing research, quality, evaluation, resource utilization, and environmental health) encompass the actions and foundation of professional nursing. The RN possesses clinical knowledge and skills to meet standards as required by specific clinical areas.

Education

• Minimum of ASN or RN Diploma (Required)
• BSN or MSN (Preferred)

Certification/Licensure

• RN licensure (Required)
• BLS within 90 days of hire
• ACLS within 1 year

Experience

• 1 year of RN experience (Required)
• Strongly prefer previous EP or Cath Lab experience (Preferred)

We provide market-competitive compensation packages, inclusive of base pay, incentives, and benefits. The base pay range for full-time employment is $41.93 - $61.01 hourly. Additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, on-call pay, overtime, shift premiums, extra-shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
