• Alton Memorial Hospital provides a comprehensive range of technologically advanced surgical services in our state-of-the-art facility. Surgeons on our medical staff perform a variety of inpatient and outpatient procedures. They work with a highly skilled and trained team of anesthesiologists, surgical nurses and technologists.

Overview

Since 1937, Alton Memorial Hospital has cared for residents in Alton, Illinois, and the surrounding communities in a five-county area. Starting as a land gift to the community from the Smith family, Alton Memorial today is a full-service acute care hospital. It offers various inpatient and outpatient services, including surgery, medical imaging, heart services, cancer care, rehabilitation, emergency care, ambulance services, and more.

The Operating Room comprises 7 General rooms, one Cysto room, and one Minor procedure room. Staffed from 0700 to 1700 Monday-Friday, with other hours covered by a Call Crew.

Responsibilities

• Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates ongoing educational and professional development activities for clinical and non-clinical staff.
• Collaborates to develop, present, and evaluate clinically focused training and continuing education.
• Participates in activities promoting safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.
• Works with leadership to assess educational needs and develop appropriate plans.
• Engages in professional development and lifelong learning.

Education

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or Healthcare-related field

Experience
