Job summary

UCHealth (Colorado) seeks an experienced RN for the Emergency Department Fellowship at UCHealth UCHlth Poudre Valley Hospital in Fort Collins, Colorado. This on-site, staff role supports a 72-hour biweekly schedule with night shifts.

The successful candidate will provide direct ED care, collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, and participate in ongoing education and credentialing while upholding safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN program or state board approved nursing program if less than 3 years of experience.
• Hold a valid State RN license.
• Minimum 6 months of RN nursing experience.
• Current BLS certification that is valid through start date.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in the Emergency Department using the nursing process.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
• Prioritize wellness, patient-centered care and evidence-based practice.
• Precept and mentor new staff and learners in a fast-paced ED setting.

Minimum Requirements:

• Graduate of an accredited or state board of nursing approved Registered/Professional Nursing program if less than 3 years' experience.
• State licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
• 6 months of nursing (RN) experience.

Emergency Department Fellowship: For those experience nurses who are new to the Emergency Department (ED) specialty, there are cohorted orientation programs to assist those who have a desire to pursue a nursing career in the ED. Orientation pivots on novice to expert theory and adult learning styles.Emergency Department: Direct care includes Emergency Department level of care up to and including level 1 trauma designation BCEN's certification standards are included in evidence based care models Clinical Educators support and guide individualized specialty education and training for competency validation throughout clinical orientation.
