Job summary

Valley Hospital in Spokane Valley, WA, is seeking a staff RN for night shift. This is a 0.9 FTE role with a 3x12 schedule in a hospital-based team delivering skilled nursing care across disciplines.

You will apply your nursing education and experience to support patient needs, engage with a multidisciplinary team, and contribute to high-quality care and patient outcomes.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing or obtained within five years from date of hire
  • RN license in Washington State or multi-state licensure endorsement
  • Current BLS Certification required
  • ACLS/NALS/PALS/TNCC/NRP certification as required by facility
  • Advanced degree in Nursing preferred
  • One year of experience in acute care setting preferred

Responsibilities

  • Organize patient care by prioritizing, delegating, delivering and evaluating on an ongoing basis
  • Use nursing knowledge to deliver care following hospital policies and the nursing process
  • Collaborate with the nursing team to improve quality of care, patient experience and cost reduction
  • Foster a learning environment for patients, families, nursing staff and health care team
  • Advocate for ethical, holistic care promoting autonomy, dignity and health of diverse patients

Responsibilities
  • You will organize patient care by prioritizing, delegating, delivering and evaluating on an ongoing basis
  • You will utilize the knowledge base of nursing education and experience to deliver nursing care using the nursing process according to hospital policies, procedures and protocols
  • Collaborate with the nursing team to facilitate overall improvement in quality of care, patient experience and cost reduction
  • Foster a learning environment for patients/families, nursing staff and members of the health care team
  • Advocate for ethical and holistic care promoting the autonomy, dignity, and health of patients from diverse ethnic and social backgrounds
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing, or obtained within five (5) years from the initial date of hire; RN with 15+ years of service or internal candidates hired before January 1, 2021 may be considered in satisfaction of this requirement in lieu of an education agreement
  • Advanced degree in Nursing (MSN, PhD, DNP, ARNP) preferred
  • Registered Nurse license (RN) in Washington State or multi‑state licensure endorsement (MSL)
  • Current BLS Certification required
  • ACLS or NALS or PALS or TNCC or NRP certification, as required by facility or department
  • Certification in specialty area preferred
  • One (1) year of experience in acute care setting preferred

Pay and Benefit Expectations

We provide a comprehensive benefits package, including competitive salary, medical, dental and retirement benefits and paid time off. As required by various pay transparency laws, we share a competitive range of compensation for candidates hired into each position. The pay scale is $43.85 - $80.58 USD. However, pay is influenced by factors specific to applicants, including but not limited to: skill set, level of experience, and certification(s) and/or education. If this position is associated with a union contract, pay will be reflective of the appropriate step on the pay scale to which the applicant’s years of experience align.
