Job summary

PAM Health Specialty Hospital of Hammond is hiring a Dialysis Registered Nurse to join our inpatient dialysis unit. You will deliver, direct and supervise patient care under the Nursing leadership, coordinating plans for post-hospitalization and family teaching to ensure smooth discharge.

Responsibilities include overseeing dialysis treatments, caring for acute or chronic kidney failure patients, and stepping into Charge Nurse roles when needed. ACLS is required from day 1 for lead roles.

Qualifications

• RN license in the state you are applying
• Current BLS certification
• ACLS certification is preferred initially and required after 90 days of employment
• ACLS is REQUIRED from day 1 for all Charge Nurses, High Obs, and ICU
• NNCC certification is preferred but not required

Responsibilities

• Oversee dialysis treatments for patients with acute or chronic kidney failure
• Plan, coordinate, and provide patient care including discharge planning and family teaching

We are currently hiring for a Dialysis Registered Nurse.

Under the direction of the Chief Nursing Officer/Director of Nursing, Nurse Manager or Charge Nurse, the Dialysis Registered Nurse is responsible for utilizing the nursing process while delivering, directing and supervising care to patients admitted to the nursing unit. The Registered Nurse plans, coordinates, and provides patient care to include interdisciplinary planning, discharge planning, patient and family teaching for post-hospitalization, and accessing community resources. May perform other related duties as assigned or requested, including Charge Nurse (ACLS certification required). Dialysis Nurses are responsible for overseeing dialysis treatments required by patients suffering from acute or chronic kidney failure as ordered by physicians.
