Job summary

Sharon Hospital, part of Nuvance Health, seeks a Per Diem Night Labor & Delivery RN in Sharon, CT to provide direct patient care and support family-centered care.

You will monitor fetal status, coordinate with physicians, and perform standard nursing duties within Maternal Child Health under supervision. Night shift provides an opportunity to contribute to high-quality obstetric care.

Qualifications

• CT RN licensure required.
• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience.
• RN Labor and Delivery experience preferred.
• BLS certification required.
• NRP and ACLS within 6 months of hire.
• STABLE Neonatal Program within 6 months of hire.
• Fetal Monitoring Certification (C-EFM) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in Labor and Delivery.
• Assess, plan, and implement individualized patient care.
• Communicate with physicians about changes in patient condition (fetal monitoring, diagnostics).
• Respond quickly to changes in condition or response to treatment.
• Perform general nursing duties in Maternal Child Health with supervision.
• Participate in performance improvement activities.

Job Summary:

Provides direct patient care in the Labor and Delivery setting. Provides assessment and planning for individualized patient care. Communicates with physicians about changes in patient’s clinical condition including: fetal monitoring and results of diagnostic studies. Responds quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment. Performs general nursing duties in all Maternal Child Health departments with adequate supervision. Participates in performance improvement activities.

Hours : Per Diem Night

Work Shift: 6:45pm - 7:15am

Requirements

CTRegistered Nurse Licensure. Minimum 1 year of nursing experience. One year of RN Labor and Delivery experience (preferred). BLS certification required. Neonatal Resuscitation certification (NRP) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required within six months of hire. Successful completion of STABLE Neonatal Program within six months of hire. Fetal Monitoring Certification (C-EFM) preferred
