Job summary

Midwest Center of Youngstown seeks a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our detox-focused team. You will provide compassionate care, assess patients, administer medications, and collaborate with physicians and ARNPs to ensure safe, effective treatment.

The ideal candidate holds an Ohio RN license, an associate degree or higher, CPR certification, and experience in behavioral health or detox. Proficiency with EHR and emergency responsiveness are essential.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and record patient care through the Electronic Health System.
• Maintain logs of controlled substances and follow infection control procedures.

Registered Nurse (RN) Days

Job Summary:

Midwest Center at Youngstown is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team of healthcare professionals. As a Registered Nurse, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care to our patients struggling with addiction. Responsibilities:

• Guide patients through their detox process per the physician's orders
• Educate patients about their condition and assist the physician and ARNP with accurate clinical reporting
• Perform nursing assessments at intake and discharge nursing actions
• Administer prescribed medications and make independent decisions within your scope of practice
• Monitor and record patient care through our Electronic Health System
• Follow Universal Infections Control Precautions and maintain accurate logs of controlled substance distribution

Qualifications:

• Associate's degree in nursing or higher
• 1+ years of experience as a RN in a detox or similar treatment facility environment (strongly preferred)
• State RN license in good standing
• Current CPR certification
• Psychiatric nursing experience required
• Ability to recognize signs and symptoms of withdrawal pain and critically dangerous medical emergencies
• Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and ability to work with minimal supervision
• Familiarity with ASAM criteria and JCAHO Standards of Care for Behavioral Health

Additional Requirements:

• Electronic Health Record experience
• Ability to respond physically and calmly during emergency situations
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
