Day Kimball Health in Putnam, CT is hiring a Registered Nurse for the Med/Surg unit on a 24-hour / Day shift (7a-3:30p). The RN will provide comprehensive nursing care, perform assessments, and coordinate with the care team to meet patient needs. CT licensure, CPR, and NVCIT training are required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required.
• Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of Connecticut required.
• Current AHA Healthcare Provider CPR certification or equivalent within 3 months of hire required.
• Current NVCIT certification or within 3 months of hire required.

Responsibilities

• Assess the patient’s physical, psycho-social, emotional, cultural, spiritual and discharge needs according to age and development.
• Communicate effectively and document clearly and completely.
• Demonstrate technical skill and knowledge of patient care equipment and procedures.

Registered Nurse (RN) Job Summary:

As the Medical Surgical Registered Nurse (RN), you will be responsible for diagnosing responses to actual or potential health problems and for providing basic emergent, supportive, and restorative care through the use of our nursing process. Demonstrates knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served in assigned responsibility.
