Job summary

Day Kimball Health is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join the ICU team in Putnam, CT. This 36-hour night position runs 7:00 PM–7:00 AM with rotating weekends and holidays, plus a $13,500 sign-on bonus for eligible candidates.

The RN will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care, maintain accurate documentation, and respond to emergent situations. Connecticut RN licensure and CPR required, with critical care experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing is required.
• Current Connecticut RN license is required.
• CPR certification (AHA Healthcare Provider) or equivalent within 3 months of hire.
• NVCIT certification or within 3 months of hire.
• ACLS certification or completion within orientation period.
• NIHSS certification or completion within orientation period.
• Experience in Critical Care nursing is preferred.
• Basic arrhythmia course completed or challenged within orientation.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient physical, psycho-social, emotional, cultural, spiritual needs and discharge planning.
• Maintain accurate documentation and effective communication.
• Demonstrate technical skill with patient care equipment and procedures.
• Evaluate and adjust the care plan as needed.
• Develop and implement individual patient care plans.
• Recognize unsafe or life-threatening situations and intervene appropriately.

Registered Nurse (RN) Job Summary:

As the Registered Nurse (RN), you will be responsible for diagnosing responses to actual or potential health problems and for providing basic emergent, supportive, and restorative care through the use of our nursing process. Demonstrates knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served in assigned responsibility.

Registered Nurse(RN)Job Responsibilities:

• According to age and developmental level of the patient, systematically assesses the patient's physical, psycho-social, emotional, cultural, spiritual and discharge needs.
• Utilizes effective oral and written communication skills to include completeness and accuracy of documentation.

• Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of Connecticut required.
• Current AHA Healthcare Provider CPR certification or equivalent within 3 months of hire required.
• Current NVCIT (Non-Violent Crisis Intervention Training) certification or within 3 months of hire required.
• Experience in Critical Care nursing is preferred.
• Completion of basic arrhythmia course and/or challenge exam within duration of orientation required.
• Current ACLS certification or completion within duration of orientation required.
• Current NVCIT (Nonviolent Crisis Intervention Training) certification or completion within duration of orientation required.
• Current NIHSS certification or completion within duration of orientation required.
• Recognizes normal and abnormal cardiac monitoring patterns and implements an appropriate treatment process.
• Must demonstrate skill and efficiency in areas of procedure, equipment, troubleshooting, maintenance, and documentation for hemodynamic monitoring.
