Job summary

Aspire Physical Recovery Center at Cahaba River is seeking a Day Shift Registered Nurse to provide skilled nursing care for patients recovering from surgery, illness, or injury. You will lead the nursing team, assess changes in condition, and coordinate care with therapy and physicians.

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing.
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Strong clinical assessment and critical-thinking skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Compassionate, patient-focused approach to care.
• Experience in rehabilitation, skilled nursing, long-term care, or acute care preferred.
• New graduate RNs are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care.
• Complete nursing assessments and monitor changes in condition.
• Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders.
• Coordinate care with physicians, therapy, pharmacy, and interdisciplinary team members.
• Supervise, mentor, and support LPNs, CNAs, and Nursing Assistants.

• Maintain accurate and timely electronic documentation.
• Respond appropriately to changes in patient condition.
• Follow infection prevention and patient safety standards.
• Ensure compliance with applicable clinical and regulatory requirements.
• Help create a positive environment focused on recovery, dignity, and independence.

Your Role as an RN

As a Day Shift RN, you'll provide skilled nursing care while serving as a clinical leader for your patients and nursing team.

You'll assess changes in condition, coordinate care, administer medications and treatments, support CNAs and LPNs, and collaborate with physicians, therapy, and other disciplines to help patients achieve the best possible outcomes.
