Select Specialty Hospital - Gulfport is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to provide compassionate, high-quality inpatient post-ICU care. The role supports adult patients in a critical illness recovery unit, with a focus on thorough admission assessments, accurate documentation, and timely interpretation of labs and telemetry.

Responsibilities include patient care coordination, education for families, and participation in rapid response events.

Qualifications

• Valid State RN license is required.
• BLS certification required at hire.
• ACLS certification required within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Receive admissions and transfers to the unit.
• Perform initial and ongoing patient assessments.
• Document using appropriate systems and ensure accuracy.
• Interpret labs and telemetry data.
• Transcribe and process medical orders accurately.
• Competent in rapid response and code events.
• Counsel patients and families; education as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
