Glen Oaks Hospital in Greenville, Texas, part of Universal Health Services, is seeking a Staff Nurse (RN) to join a private psychiatric facility.

The role involves coordinating patient care with the health-team, applying the nursing process, and maintaining safety and quality standards. Hours are 7am to 7pm, three days per week with rotating weekends.

Qualifications

• Education: Accredited nursing program graduate; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Experience: Minimum of two years in a psychiatric healthcare facility preferred.
• Licensure: Current RN license in Texas.
• Additional Requirements: CPR, Handle with Care and Verbal De-escalation training before orientation; must pass medication administration exam and basic developmental competency exam.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to psychiatric patients as part of the health care team.
• Coordinate with health team to plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
• Apply the nursing process and standards of care to ensure patient safety and well-being.

The Staff Nurse (R.N.) is a registered professional nurse who prescribes, coordinates, and evaluates patient care through collaborative efforts with health team members in accordance with the nursing process and the standards of care and practices.

Position Hours: 7am - 7pm, three days per week, rotating weekends

Qualifications

Education: Graduate from an accredited program of professional nursing required; Bachelor's Degree preferred.

Experience: A minimum of two (2) years experience in a psychiatric health-care facility preferred.

Licensure: Currently licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse by the Texas State Board of Nursing.

Additional Requirements: CPR certification and training in appropriate use of Handle with Care (HWC) and Verbal De-escalation before on the unit orientation and prior to assisting in a restraining process. Must pass a medication administration exam and complete a basic developmental competency exam.
