Job summary

PIH Health is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the CVDOU, part-time days. The role involves independent application of the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic patient care within hospital policy and state regulations. You will work collaboratively with physicians, staff and families to ensure high-quality outcomes.

Required certifications include BLS and ACLS, NIHSS within 6 months, and LA City Fire Card within 6 months. Prior experience in critical care and stroke units is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must demonstrate critical thinking and clinical judgment.
• Credentialed BLS and ACLS required.
• NIHSS and LA City Fire Card must be obtained within 6 months of employment.

Responsible for independently utilizing the nursing process to safely, therapeutically and efficiently care for a group of patients based on policies and procedures.Delivers individualized quality patient care through a coordinated team approach with physicians, staff, other departments and the patient’s family. Complies with the California Nurse Practice Act, Article 2, Section 2725 of the Business and Professions Code.
