Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center - NCBH Nursing Float Pool in Winston-Salem, NC is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for the Med Surg Float Pool. This position supports multiple inpatient units on a night shift, delivering safe, patient-centered critical care across diverse teams in a leading academic medical center.

Minimum 2 years ICU experience, active RN license (multi-state/compact), BLS, and strong clinical judgment are required; BSN preferred.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of a Board of Nursing-approved nursing program.
  • Minimum of 2 years ICU nursing experience.
  • Active, unrestricted RN license (multi-state compact and/or state-specific as applicable).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Strong clinical judgment and ability to adapt across multiple units.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver safe, patient-centered critical care using the nursing process and evidence-based practice across multiple Med Surg settings.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to drive optimal outcomes, maintain documentation, and support communication and delegation.

We’re Looking For Graduate of a Board of Nursing–approved nursing program Minimum of 2 years of ICU nursing experience Active, unrestricted RN license (multi-state compact and/or state-specific as applicable) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification Strong clinical judgment, critical thinking, and ability to adapt across multiple units Preferred: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)

What You’ll Do

Deliver safe, patient-centered critical care using the nursing process, clinical judgment, and evidence-based practice—monitoring complex patient conditions, administering treatments, and adapting care across multiple Med Surg settings. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams across units to drive optimal outcomes—promoting safety, maintaining accurate documentation, supporting communication and delegation, and maintaining flexibility to meet patient care needs.
