RWJBarnabas Health is hiring a Coronary Care Unit Registered Nurse (RN) for Newark Beth Israel Medical Center. The role offers a guaranteed Night shift with a 36-hour week and a strong emphasis on teamwork, patient safety, and professional growth.

The RN will provide high-quality, evidence-based care in a fast-paced CICU environment, perform patient assessments, administer meds, document in EPIC, and collaborate with physicians and staff to ensure smooth transitions of care.

Qualifications

Active New Jersey RN license in good standing.
Current American Heart Association BLS certification; ACLS within 120 days of hire; CCRN preferred.
AS or ADN in nursing is required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
1–2 years' experience in Critical Care/NICU/ED is highly preferred.
Must be comfortable with EMR systems (EPIC).

Responsibilities

Communicate effectively with interdisciplinary teams, patients and families.
Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and recognize clinical changes.
Provide safe, evidence-based medications and hands-on care.
Collaborate with physicians and advanced providers to coordinate care.
Educate patients and families for the next phase of care.

To be considered for this RN opportunity

you must hold an active New Jersey Registered Nurse license in good standing and a current American Heart Association BLS certification upon hire and ACLS must be completed within 120 days of hire and CCRN preferred. An Associate Science in Nursing degree is required. Bachelor's degree preferred. A minimum 1-2 years' experience in Critical Care Nursing, ICU or ED is highly preferred. Must be comfortable with electronic medical record systems (EMR) like EPIC. Full-time night shift 7p-7:30a 36 hours per week. Monday - Friday, every other weekend and holiday rotation allows you to build strong patient relationships while maintaining balance.
