Job summary

UP Health System - Marquette is hiring an RN Coordinator for Neurosurgery in Marquette, Michigan. The role focuses on coordinating staff scheduling, education, and QA activities within the Brain & Spine team.

You will serve as a clinical resource and ensure adherence to standards and regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will hold a Michigan RN license with an associate’s degree in nursing (bachelor’s preferred) and at least four years of health care experience.

Qualifications

• Current Michigan RN license is required.
• Associate’s degree in nursing required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS-HCP) certification required.
• Minimum of 4 years health care experience.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates staff scheduling and development activities.
• Manages performance evaluations for team members.
• Performs QA studies and supports QA/QI initiatives.
• Provides clinical guidance to staff and external contacts on patient care and procedures.
• Monitors compliance with accreditation, legal and Joint Commission requirements.

How You’ll Contribute

An RN Coordinator who excels in this role:

• Coordinates staff scheduling, educational/development activities, and performance evaluations.
• Identifies and resolves issues affecting the delivery of clinical services.
• Performs quality assurance studies and assists with implementation of QA/QI initiatives.
• Serves as a resource to staff and external contacts on issues related to patient care, patient flow and clinical standards, policies and procedures.
• Monitors departmental compliance with applicable requirements, including accreditation, legal, and The Joint Commission.

What We’re Looking For

Applicants should have a current Michigan RN license and possess an associate’s degree from an accredited nursing school (bachelor’s preferred).
