Qualifications

We Are Hiring
  • Sign-on Bonus:Up to $15,000.00
  • Department: Clinical Decision Unit (CDU)
  • Schedule: Full-time, Nights
  • Hospital: Ascension Saint Thomas Rutherford
  • Location:Murfreesboro, TN
  • NEW-Student Loan Assistance Available

6 West is a 36 bed unit with 8 dedicated Observation rooms for recovering patients with outpatient TR bands, blood transfusions, and other patients that are receiving tests/treatment as an observation patient. These patients are either discharged from this unit or if they need to be admitted then they are transferred to an inpatient unit.

Other patient populations in these beds are:

  • Cardiac Arrhythmias
  • Chest Pain
  • Post Cardiac Catheterization
  • Heart Failure
  • TIA/Stroke rule out
  • Hemodialysis
  • Hydronephrosis
  • Nephrolithiasis
  • Blood Transfusions
What You Will Do

Provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols of the healthcare organization.

  • Implement and monitor patient care plans. Monitor, record and communicate patient condition as appropriate.
  • Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
  • Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
  • Assess and coordinate patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.
What You Will Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • One or more of the following required:
    • Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Tennessee Board of Nursing OR current home state license for multi-state license recognition "Compact State" obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

Education:

  • Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time ofhire.
