Job summary

Advocate Sherman Hospital in Elgin, IL is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Clinical Decision Unit (CDU). This full-time Days role (36 hours/week, 7a–7p) offers a collaborative team and opportunities to contribute to short-term monitoring, testing and treatment decisions.

You will provide patient care using the nursing process, coordinate care across teams, and support safe dispositions. Illinois RN license and BLS are required; a BSN is strongly preferred.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited or approved nursing program.
• RN license issued by the state (Illinois).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification.

The Clinical Decision Unit at Magnet designated Sherman Hospital is dedicated to providing quality care to our patient requiring short term monitoring, testing and treatment while clinicians determine whether they need hospital admission or can be safely discharged.. We're Looking For:

• Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing, BSN stongly prefererd
• Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association

What You'll Do:

As a skilled and compassionate RN, you will play a pivotal role in providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures.Using evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and skills communication while leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum.
