Advocate Sherman Hospital in Elgin, IL is seeking a Registered Nurse for our Clinical Resource Unit (CRU). This part-time night-shift role supports multiple inpatient units to meet fluctuating patient volumes and acuity, contributing to safe, high-quality care in a busy hospital setting.

The ideal candidate has an accredited nursing program, an active RN license, BLS certification, and prior CNA or RN experience. Part-time (24 hours/week) with benefits eligibility and every 3rd weekend rotation.

Qualifications

  • Completion of an accredited nursing program.
  • Registered Nurse license issued by the state where you practice.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for Healthcare Providers.

Responsibilities

  • Provide and coordinate comprehensive patient care using the nursing process.
  • Deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with standards and policies.
  • Lead efforts to create a safe patient environment and positive patient experience.

Registered Nurse (RN) – Clinical Resource Unit Sherman Hospital, Elgin IL PT Nights

Where You Will Work

Join the Clinical Resource Unit (CRU) at Magnet designated Sherman Hospital. The CRU is a highly adaptable team of registered nurses and support staff who provide care across multiple inpatient units to meet fluctuating patient volumes and acuity. These clinicians are part of a versatile, skilled workforce that plays a pivotal role in supporting hospital operations and delivering safe, effective care in a high-acuity, ever-changing clinical environment.

What You’ll Do

As a skilled and compassionate RN, you will play a pivotal role in providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures. Using evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and skills communication while leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum.

We’re Looking For

Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing. Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices. Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association. Previous CNA or RN experience preferred.
