Job summary

Tenet Desert in Indio, CA seeks a Registered Nurse Clinical Coordinator for the Operating Room. The position leads daily unit operations, supervises staff, assists with hiring and training, and ensures equipment and supplies are ready for surgery.

The PCC acts as a liaison among patients, staff and physicians, oversees performance improvement projects, and provides mentorship. Requires California RN license, leadership experience, BLS and basic computer skills.

Qualifications

• California RN License (RN) is required.
• Leadership and demonstrated management skills are needed.

• BLS Certification is required.
• Experience in Surgical Services preferred.

POSITION DESCRIPTION

The OR Patient Care Coordinator (PCC) performs the clinical role of a RN Ill in the care of the patient undergoing surgery and/or anesthesia. This position assumes a leadership role for daily unit operations and assists with hiring and training of staff. The PCC supervises and evaluates staff performance and maintains staffing levels to ensure budget goals and meet patient needs. The position ensures necessary equipment and supplies are available at all times and develops and implements performance improvement projects to improve patient outcomes. The PCC functions as a role model and mentor to other employees and serves as a liaison between patients, staff, and physicians.
