RWJBarnabas Health's Jersey City Medical Center seeks a Clinic Registered Nurse (RN) for the Day shift in Jersey City, NJ. The role supports ambulatory care with a focus on patient assessment, safe medication administration, and collaboration with physicians.

The ideal candidate holds an active NJ RN license, BLS, a BSN or current enrollment, and at least one year of ambulatory care experience. EPIC EMR proficiency is preferred; schedule is Monday–Friday with weekend rotation.

Qualifications

• Active New Jersey Registered Nurse license required.
• BLS certification required or in process.
• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) or active enrollment in BSN program.
• Minimum 1 year of ambulatory care RN experience.
• Proficiency with EPIC or similar EMR systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and detect clinical changes.
• Administer safe medications and provide hands-on care.
• Collaborate with physicians and care teams for coordinated treatment.
• Educate patients and families to support informed care decisions.
• Document care accurately in the EMR and support continuity of care.
• Participate in interdisciplinary rounds to improve patient outcomes.

To be considered for this RN opportunity, you must hold an active New Jersey Registered Nurse license in good standing and a current American Heart Association BLS certification. A bachelor's degree in nursing is required or actively enrolled in a BSN program with an expected completion date. One year of Ambulatory Care RN experience. Comfortable with electronic medical record systems (EMR) like EPIC. Monday - Friday. Must be able to work every other weekend.
