Job summary

Hartford Hospital – Institute of Living in Avon, CT is seeking a Registered Nurse for the night shift (11:00 pm–7:00 am) with an every-other-weekend rotation to join a trauma-informed, patient‑centered care team. Responsibilities include nursing assessment, care planning, medication management and patient education, collaborating with physicians and staff to deliver holistic treatment and support.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing; new grads welcome.
• Successful completion of nurse residency upon hire, if applicable.
• CT RN license required upon starting.
• Certified BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA).
• Must be able to communicate information in English.

Responsibilities

• Nursing assessment, treatment planning, and medication management.
• Patient education and collaboration with other healthcare professionals.
• Support care of trauma-informed patient population.

Job Summary

We provide holistic, quality trauma informed care for our specialized patient population. Nursing duties include assessment, treatment planning, medication management and patient education, while working collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care and support.
