Job summary

MedStar Health in Maryland is seeking a Clinical Nurse for an 11-bed unit serving ages 11–17. The role covers two 12-hour night shifts weekly in a highly autonomous team with a strong emphasis on family therapy and cross-training to Psychiatric ED and Adult Inpatient Psychiatric units.

You will provide skilled nursing care, assess evolving conditions, and develop and execute care plans while coordinating with the nursing team.

Qualifications

• ADN, BSN, MSN, or CNL from an accredited School of Nursing required.
• Active MD RN License or Active Compact State RN and BLS required.
• Prior clinical nursing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled, compassionate care to patients and families across a spectrum of needs.
• Assess evolving patient conditions and develop appropriate care plans.
• Coordinate interventions with the nursing team as needed.

Available Role:

PT Nights (two 12-hour shifts per week)

Key Responsibilities

As a Clinical Nurse, you will provide skilled, compassionate care to patients and families across a spectrum of needs—from routine to highly complex. You will assess evolving patient conditions, identify actual and potential health concerns, and develop appropriate care plans. Interventions may be delivered directly or coordinated through collaboration with other members of the nursing team
