Job summary

Saint Francis Hospital in Connecticut is seeking a part-time Registered Nurse to join the Cath Lab team. The RN functions within a team of Nurses, Cardiovascular Technologists, and Interventional Cardiologists, providing care for elective and emergent procedures.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
• Current Licensure as a Registered Nurse RN in Connecticut.
• BSN degree preferred.

Position Purpose

Cath Lab functions independently as a member of our team of Nurses, Cardiovascular Technologists, and Interventional Cardiologists. Within our three procedure labs, the RN provides care to patients undergoing elective and emergent invasive diagnostic and interventional procedures. This role performs a variety of tasks to ensure patient safety and comfort including patient assessment and hemodynamic monitoring, pre procedure preparation and administration of conscious sedation.

Minimum Qualifications

• Education: Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
• Licensure: Current Licensure as a Registered Nurse RN in Connecticut.

Preferred Skills:

• Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing BSN degree preferred.
• Experience: 1-2 years of Acute care, ICU or Cardiac Telemetry experience preferred.

Work Schedule:

• Per Diem shifts, 10-hour days
• This position requires On-Call - weekends/holiday rotation
